Designer Oyuna Tserendorj has been working with the cashmere of her native Mongolia under the name OYUNA since 2002. Ignoring the traditional trappings of European cashmere, Tserendorj instead channels the nomadic culture of her homeland, all the while drawing inspiration from the creative design hub of her adopted home, London.

In this context, collaborative ventures with London-based designer are a natural extension of Tserendorj’s work. In 2012 OYUNA collaborated with Peter Marigold in the Brompton Design District, showing an abstract interpretation of a Mongolian Ger. Forged from steel and jesmonite, the skeletal structure was a fitting backdrop to the distinctive OYUNA throws and shawls.
