Pastoral sliders
New designers have taken over the guerilla gallery space on Exhibition road and they are demanding that visitors re–imagine the past from the perspective of a future that has meshed with our present.
The exhibition is called Pastoral Sliders, and the quality of the work by these recent Chelsea College of Art and Design post–graduates is impressive. The painting, sculpture and photography on display re–interprets the landscape tradition for our millennium of virtual worlds and parallel universes. The work unleashes a veritable data storm of ideas: simplicity, artifice, ideals, nostalgia, beauty, and more. Pastoral Sliders wil l be on until the end of December 2007.
