The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion series is an ongoing programme of temporary structures by internationally acclaimed architects. This year’s spectacular structure is a dramatic, multi–dimensional space created by Frank Gehry and Arup. Part–amphitheatre, part–promenade, it’s inspired by a variety of sources, from the elaborate wooden catapults designed by Leonardo da Vinci to the striped walls of summer beach huts.
